Nowadays most of the village’s residents either work as private employees or public servants in Mathiatis, Nicosia or in Larnaca. Very few residents deal with farming and livestock breeding. At the village people also produce vegetables, olives, olive oil, grains and various types of fruit. Moreover, there are two livestock breeding units with goats, rabbits and chicken. Farming, livestock breeding and mining used to constitute the main occupations of the villagers in the previous decades.
